COOLING
Controlled cooling of a selected area provides a localized cold stimulus without the need for ice or full-body immersion.
WHAT IS CONTRAST THERAPY?
Contrast therapy uses the effect of different temperatures on a selected area of the body. Instead of immersing the entire body in cold and warm water, therapy at Nexeltron will be conducted locally using the Cryo-Push A02-C-035 system.
The device allows for the use of cooling, heating, and compression within a fitted sleeve. This enables the treatment to be focused on a specific area, such as the knee, thigh, shoulder, back, or ankle.
Controlled cooling of a selected area provides a localized cold stimulus without the need for ice or full-body immersion.
Controlled heat allows for the application of an opposite thermal stimulus in the same system and the same area of the body.
The system can additionally utilize adjustable pressure, combining the effects of temperature with local compression.
HOW DOES CONTRAST THERAPY WORK?
The system uses a special band connected to a device that controls temperature and pressure in a selected area of the body.
Depending on the settings, it is possible to apply cooling, heating, and compression, as well as to create sequences tailored to the course of the session.
01
A fitted brace covers a specific part of the body, such as the knee, thigh, shoulder, back, hip, elbow, or ankle.
02
The system lowers the temperature of the fluid circulating in the wrap, providing a localized and controlled cold stimulus without the use of ice.
03
The same band can be used for localized heating of a selected area without the need to change the device.
04
Adjustable compression can work in tandem with cooling or heating, allowing for the creation of controlled sequences within a single session.
AREAS OF APPLICATION
The device enables localized contrast therapy using variable temperature and compression. Thanks to various wraps, the system can target specific areas of the body—precisely, comfortably, and without the need for whole-body treatment.
This solution allows for tailoring therapy to a specific area and goal of use — from recovery to daily comfort and regeneration.
The wrap can cover the shoulder and upper arm area, directing therapy precisely to the selected area.
The smaller cuff allows for localized work on the upper limb, including the forearm or elbow area.
Therapy can be directed at larger parts of the lower limb, covering the thigh area.
The fitted strap allows for localized action in the hip and lateral pelvic area.
The system can also be used on the upper arm, providing localized temperature and compression therapy.
A wider wrap can cover selected parts of the torso, supporting the localized application of contrast therapy.
One of the most common applications is knee area therapy using a fitted brace.
An extended brace may cover the lower leg, ankle, and foot.
WHERE IS CONTRAST THERAPY USED?
Local therapy using controlled cold, heat, and compression is primarily applied in areas related to sports, recovery, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation.
Thanks to the custom bands, the effect can be focused on a specific area of the body, without the need to affect the entire system.
Therapy can be a component of recovery for active individuals and athletes after training, competitions, or intense physical exertion.
Local application of temperature and compression allows the session to be focused on body parts that are particularly strained during activity.
The system can be used as a tool to support physiotherapy and localized therapy of a selected body area.
Temperature fluctuations and compression can be used at various stages of a planned rehabilitation process.
Instead of affecting the entire body, the therapy can be directed precisely at the knee, thigh, shoulder, back, hip, elbow, wrist, or ankle.
Contrast therapy can be one element of a broader recovery program and can be combined with other Nexeltron technologies.
The scope and parameters of the session should be tailored to the purpose of use, the chosen body area, and the adopted protocol. Contrast therapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.
